1. Our own people would never help their own kind. Instead they filled their guts with pure evil - taking advantage of situations and looking down on those who they think are the juniors in the workplace. Some engineers are supposed to guide me but it all ended up with me doing his 'shit' while he idles in the office, claiming he is busy.But of course there are nice colleagues who are very helpful and will render help whenever i need one.
   
   

2. Bootlicking is so prominent - SInce my safety department has a flat management system, just above me is the Manager. Looking at my own colleagues, they will bootlick all those higher managements so as to gain favour and be in their good books. Point to note: its not something i made up. These pple tell me they do it!
   
   
3. Wayang - I tot in Army i knew enough of Wayang. BUt here, wayang has taken to a new height! That engineer (who is only a few months senior than me) admitted to "wayang" in front of the big boss so as to look as if he is hardworking and contribute alot. He then blamed me for not understanding the idea of survival in the workplace. Bullshit. I work for Allah only. He just got his degree from some private Uni where you pay huge amount to get the scroll. From the looks of it, we are the only 2 malay engineers who are degree holders. Fellow colleagues told me that im a threat to his progress.

4. What degree u have or what honours u get is nothing when u are working. Experience matters though. People dont ask u what degree u have and what scores u have achieved but they probed alot into your past working experiences and the knowledge of the new job u just entered. Too slow and you will struggle!

5. Never go against your senior (unless you think you are so damn smart). This one i have nothing to explain. Period.

6. Always be patient and keep an open mind. Never lose your temper. I am pissed off with that engineer but i kept "istighfar" when he pushes me to the limit. I kept praying that I am given the strength to go through this and Allah will guide me since I work for Allah's cause. I told myself to be ever-so-positive and make him see my worth and that im not just a typical NUS graduate. Alhamdulillah I have seen the fruits of my positivity. Thank you Allah!
