The newspapers collector? Everytime i queue up for Today newspaper at 730am at BEdok MRT before work, i will see aunties and uncles ,who are in the late 60s to 70s, grabbing more than 1 newspaper each. what makes me pissed is that these chinese aunties/uncles brought with them huge plastics bags and paper bags and kept cutting through our queues to get these FREE newspapers.![]() Each of them will then take turns getting back in the queue and even asked the guy who issue these papers for 3 or more papers at one time. After they stuffed those into their bags, they will continue to queue again and get more newspapers. I find it very annoying coz from what i observe there are more than 10 of them lingering around the newspapers collection point and they are one of the first to queue up. So my question is: why do they need so many newspapers? Indeed, they wont be attentively reading the stack of same newspapers in their home.In fact these old aunties and uncles have problems speaking english themselves. They are depriving the MRT and BUS commuters, like me who travel to Jurong everyday, of something to read. The more they take, the less others will get. Maybe these oldies want to challenge with each other who gets the most newspaper in a day without paying anything. Maybe they want to sell it to the karang guni man to earn a few cents for that huge stack of papers they have. (similar theory to cans collecting). Maybe they are representatives of their own GRC so that residents can get them. (very very low chance of it being true) What the hell... whatever it is, something must be done to get rid of these people. Typical of a kiasu singaporean, i may add. Whatever it is, i will not budge if they try to squeeze in between my queue 2mr!!!! wrote on 11:53 am. Monday, May 21, 2007
Do-It-Myself When u got plenty of time on ya hands and actually love fixing stuffs around ya like a broken radio, bicycles , computers parts and whatsoever, then u share the same interest as me.
