I miss NUS Silat

I really miss going for silat training. The times when fitness becomes first nature to me and a no nonsense intake of food plus frequencing the gym. The time when i can still do 2.4km run under a Passing time (now no hope lah). What can be better than being with my silat buddies as we trained hard after school hours and sweating it out in the weekend. Perfecting every kicks and punches, setting out strategies and improving on gameplay. Then comes my favourite sparring session at the end of the training. This is where we gauge and put our practises into place and tries all kinds of moves u never thought possible. And above all, the makan session i had after training! Really miss all those!

I thanked Guys like Hoirul and Ibrahim who really motivates me to be fighting fit again after the freak accident barely a year ago. There are others who also lend their support to me when im at the verge of quitting silat totally.

BUT NOW??? Its all down the DRAIN! AFter working in ICES for a good 3 months, i could'nt find time to return to SILAT. With all the evening module and my many tuitions assignments, I gained weight. i definitely exceed 65kg now. My tummy had extra fats there. I cannot run long distance. Pull up = 0. I cannot kick any higher than my waist. My punches barely kill any birds. I need 3 bottles of water to recover from a normal soccer game. I cant carry weights anymore and i easily pant after going up a flight of stairs.

Chialat ah ni macam...

If u guys realise, i didnot update anything on the NTU-NUS friendly because i actually dont want people to know that i started fighting again. I mean it was only 5months from the time i had my wrist operated and the doctors installed a windows-compatible, intel core 2 duo chip metal about 5cm long in my left wrist. Then i came for only 2 trainings in december and SUDDENLY my name got chosen to spar in the NTU-NUS friendly.

I knew i might get beaten up and also risks breaking my bone again. But i told myself to try.

Not to win but to have a taste of a sparring match again. SO...

It was RIDZWAN NUS vs RIDZWAN NTU!!! The NUS silat IT committee has JUST (fresh off the stove) uploaded the videos on to youtube and here i am sharing with my friends the fight i had. Go and see lor!

Alhamdulilah.................... Praise is to Allah..

First and foremost, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SITI!!!!

My little sister turns 20 yesterday.. (you are old already!!) and 2 days before, it was my DAD's birthday. Well sorry CT i did not have the time to celebrate with you at home yesterday but i do hope u like the gift i gave you. MAhal ok!!! Even i myself dont have it. heheh...

OH I dont even want to talk about my upcoming birthday because i will probably spend the whole day in Maju Camp because of an army mobilisation that is 99% likely to occur on that saturday. Crap sey..

And next week, Hamzah (my nephew) will be celebrating his 2 yrs birthday! MARCH is a birthday month for my family. hmm maybe i need to start thinking what to get for that small little boy too.

My last few days have been so hectic, i rarely had time to even play FM2007. Oh for the record, my Conference National Team RUSHDEN AND DIAMONDS is now in the Championship League.. one short of a Premiership place! I dont know why i chose that team but the word diamond in the team name makes it look exquisite!

Its never easy to climb up 3 leagues from the bottom with only a budget of $20K and now with a transfer money of a little above 2million pounds, im aiming to bring this small club into the Premiership one day.

Right now, im thankful and bersyukur to Allah because "dimurahkan rezeki". Not that im given money by my mum or dad or i found cash on the mrt platform, but the fact that i have been receiving alot of tuition assignments which when the payments added up will soon exceeds my Industrial Attachment pay. Alhamdulillah.

These assignments are actually recommended by those who have been tutored by me and those who knew me personally. Thank you people.

At my disposal, im teaching 2 JC girls A-level chemistry and Mathematics . Its really worth the effort because teaching at that level is very tough and of course the money that rolls in is alot! And im positive that im going to get another JC kid soon. woohoo...

My special thanks goes to this malay family whom i have been teaching for 3 years now. i taught Danial since primary 4 and now he's taking PSLE already. How time flies. Amazing to see how he has grown and nurtured. He changed from being a kurang ajar and mischievous kid to a quiet and obedient one.
