Dinner @ Seoul Garden on Tuesday 12 June 2007 i apologise as this entry arrives late. The gang had our monthly outing at Takashimaya Orchard, Seoul Garden to feast ourselves as our allowances had arrived. Sadly not all of us are able to join so we had only 6 faithful members gracing the dinner. Had only nisha, siti, adeline, weikang, linglan and me. It was a simple buffet but to me, it was my last heavy, proper meal before i start my reservist next week. Hah! Weikang and Siti.... weird smiles.. Love the char siew chicken! Siti trying to act sweet. tsk! my tom yam soup has been mixed with eggs!! urgh time for dessert!! everyone busy cooking and eating. food galore miss Ade, not letting go of her shawl even while cooking the trip home in mrt

Back to Reservist

me and my men ~ 2gr for years (and years) to come Actually there's plenty to pen down in my blog but i guess this one takes priority for now. NExt monday will be that faithful day where i will serve part 2 of my 10 NS cycles. Where else but the ARMY! This time around, it would be a long 2 weeks back to camp where meeting your men, fellow commanders and friends would be a great surprise, seeing them totally different from the NS days. Some are married, some engaged, some grew fatter, some skinner, fairer and some are totally the same! So thing is i am not even physically prepared for this long strenuous weeks of training back in the jungle, crawling among thorny bushes, insect-infested molehills, taking IPPT again (and again), commanders training and then having had to carry tons of weight on my shoulders for the long missions. It really becomes MORE IRRITATING when i found out months ago that my RESERVIST falls on my last week of Industrial Attachment (IA) . That means when i end my IA this friday, i had only a SATURDAY and a SUNDAY before i return to my green-uniformed seargent duties. Many had the same fate as me so im not complaining though. But to me, that implies no break between my end of IA and the start of Reservist. Sigh... For now, i need to get that adrenaline rush back again to help me go through my RESERVIST days. But then again, just being together with the men and commanders would be enough to share the pain, tiredness and joy.
