My 6 months of attachment in ICES, Jurong Island has ended on friday.
A HUGE thank YOU to my supervisor, Dr Sanggu Kim (a korean), my 2 technical officers who helped me alot during my stay there and to all those friends from NTU and NUS who i knew and met there.
It has been a wonderful experience!!
"the parker pen i gave my Prof as a parting gift"
" adeline, Syukee and me.. researchers from the same lab"No more cracking my brain to solve my professor's questions, no more dissolving surfactant-oil-water mixtures for hours, no more calculations to be done in the lab while listening to my HP musics, no more chatting with friends over lunch, no more crappiness and lameness to share with the gang and also no more playing King of Fighter on PC when it is illegal to do so.
The wait is finally over. I guessed its more of a relief rather than an achievement when IA has ended. Coz i felt i have been taken for granted by my supervisor who kept piling up my work after knowing that i can finish a 3 hour task in just 1 hour.
That friday was D-DAy. The day when i came to work to return all the stores i own, to have my final chats and games with the gang, to have a final conversation with my Prof about IP protection over coffee and also lots of picture taking.
Though it has been a tough 6 months, the feedback i got from my prof turns out better than expected. he praised me for carrying the load he gave me, compliment me for the well-organised work and maintaining a high standard of work ethics and professionalism.
"quick learner, diligent worker...."hahhahah.. i dont get praised like that before.
Now its time to see the actions on the last day of work!!!!!!
