"My hari Raya so far!!" yeahhh..... As promised i wanna share my 1st day of hari raya pics here. Not alot but just enough for u to see whats going on. For guys whose going out to celebrate Raya as a grp wf me next week, this is what im gonna wear. haha...  a brief timeline might help summarise it better.. 7:15 am: Am already on the way to Mjd Ansar just a block away from my hse to 'solat hari raya'. Cant wait to hear 'takbir' or prayer call as it is the BEST thing i wanna hear and recite on my 1st day of Raya. I love this view of the mosque's dome and its long vertical pillar which i believe resembles the Arabic alphabet 'alif'. 11:00 am: After the traditional seeking of forgiveness from parents and keeping my stomach empty so that i can 'whack' alot of food at aunties/uncles houses, i set out with my family. Well this year is black baju kurung for me, so with 'kain samping' and 'songkok', i feel good to go! oh yeah and new shoes! Wow.. been so long since i last update my blog. Thought of giving myself 2 days to get over the excitement of Hari Raya and den upload some pics but i guess i got too caught up trying to mend some stuffs. Stupid pc in my room SUDDENLY create problem on the day of Hari Raya. Maybe it also undergo fasting or whatever and produced me an a config/system file corrupt. After trying all means to fix it, i realise i have to reformat my C drive. Lucky me that i had another internal harddisk where i kept thousands of songs and pictures and anime and movies. So it wasnt affected when i wanted to reformat the C drive. But this irritating nonsensical IT stuffs get me at the edge of my seat and my nerve! Tried reformatting using 4 different windows xp pro cd that i borrowed from friends and cousin but HELL, it still gave error in copying and some corrupt files etc when it left with so little to actually start Windows. Basically i just gave up! tried for 3 days and cant even do it proper. Dont noe if its the Cd or the hardware or the whatever lah! Crap man... How i hope windows are as stable as Mac Os X. My apple laptop may not be a high end one but it doesnt show signs of faltering or hardware problems. Im not saying i HATE windows xp ( i need it to play my game) URGH! looks like i just wait for my IT friend to help me fix this thing up by this weekend. If not, i will miss my anime, my long hours of studying in front of the PC, creating a party-like environment in my room with my music and much much more. TEchnology basically rules my life already, no doubt. So behind these smiles and joy of Hari Raya, i have a i-want-to-kick-your-ass emotion running wildly in me. "Hari raya is around the corner!!" So looks like this is it huh.. 1 more day of fasting (mon is the last day) and muslims around the world will celebrate the joyful Idulfitri or Lebaran or Hari Raya... haha so many names given to that day when we have successfully attain the meaning of fasting and its a symbol of victory for some, if not all. I share the sentiments of some people who realise that people care so much abt the celebration rather than the journey to it. Thats why i cringe when i see guys or gals who are ADULTS and FIT but dont seem to care about fasting. The funny thing is that, some concerned Singaporeans wrote to the newspaper about implementing fines to these culprits if they consume food in front of other muslims. Dont get me wrong. The culprits are the malay people ourselves. Sad huh! To me, its not necessary to follow the path of how the Malaysian Government handles that issue but i guess in Singapore, its all about awareness and showing to these culprits that they should be ashamed of their acts. Well, i can suggest creative ideas coz i have lots of them in my head but i think its time i want to do something MORE important in today's entry. Cant wait? me too.... __________________________________________________ "A dedication to a friend who celebrates Raya in Europe"  in loving memory, Khai (kambing) We now wanna dedicate this small space for our dear friend here. Stuck in Norway for his SEP or attachment (im not sure which is correct), he wont be celebrating Raya in Singapore. Did i hear some hoorays?? hhaha....Khai kambing is his nickname and he holds the record as the guy who, when he mentions "OK! i can come!" means he wont. And when he said "InsyaAllah (God Willing) means he will come very late. And lastly if u had confirmed to meet him up anytime in the future, u have to set your watch 40 minutes later. Is he buih (froth) number 2? u guys decide. A message to him: "Though u may not celebrate Raya with your family and friends this year, wanna wish u SELAMAT HARI RAYA and hope u stay in good health. We will alwaz miss u (not) and may Lebaran brings a smile to you. I will save some kuih for u but i cant guarantee its safe to eat once u are back home! haha...Take good care and i will dedicate a song "dendang perantau" to our friend here. Dont cry when u hear takbir in the morning of Lebaran but get ready for the prayers. Just concerned that u cant make it in time. Kidding!" Oh ya, khai, we will record a video of our guys' Raya and will pass to u to watch. Commentator: ME! ketupat-ayam RAMPAGE! i lost nearly 3kg during the fasting month. So its payback time. Everytime aunt and uncles ask me to eat, i wouldnt reject. Im all set! ready to fill the stomach and ready to NOT get any more GREEN packet (coz im old not for the fact im studying at University) So i will eat a large amount of food equivalent to the amount of money given to my sisters. haha.
