Kite flying on National day 2007 Sadly im not one of the 150,000 who were either at the Marina Bay or at the floating stadium itself to capture the 42nd National Day. I cannot imagine the trip back home right after that event anw. The jammed packed roads, buses and the mrts and also not forgetting the throngs of people who came to watch the fireworks across the river, have persuaded me enough to forgo this year ndp celebration. Well, all is not lost coz me and nisaa went out for kite flying! NO we are not using the National flag to fly here... It was really one of the first times i had my hands on this. The last one was way back in secondary school. posing witha colouful kite! when the wind starts blowing, the kite starts to soar
looks like a lone sperm with a sharp front.. nisaa having her hands on kite flying.. a shadow of our kite when its airborne about 80 feet above ground.. wrote on 10:32 pm. Wednesday, August 08, 2007

As an Arsenal fan , this is a sweet victory! 2 pre-season tournament wins and all of them against strong teams with the likes of Ajax, Inter Milan , Lazio and PSG using young players with superb talent. Its interesting how Arsene Wenger chooses to play tougher teams nearer to the start of the EPL season. ![]() From Arsenal.com website: "Arsenal scooped their second tournament trophy of the week with a battling 1-0 victory over Ajax on Saturday night. Arsène Wenger’s side had won the Emirates Cup last Sunday thanks to a late strike from Robin van Persie. It was a case of double Dutch this evening as the striker finished off a marauding run from Gael Clichy three minutes from time to win the Amsterdam Tournament.
![]() Arsenal striker Robin van Persie, rear left, is hugged by his teammates Eduardo (9) and Emmanuel Eboue, right, as Ajax goalkeeper Maarten van Stekelenburg The victory was deserved. Ajax keeper Maarten Stekelenburg had been by far the busier keeper, saving point-blank from Kolo Toure and Van Persie during a lively 90 minutes. Of course, pre-season form will count for nothing when the campaign starts properly at the weekend. However, in the past eight days Arsenal’s young side have strung together wins over PSG, Inter, Lazio and now Ajax." Now im purely confident on this young(er) Arsenal team which holds thousand promises to its fans that playing fantastic football with the idea of scoring goals are important. If Arsenal can maintain this form and bring it over to English Soil, then i bet they can really fight for the title. Though i expect Arsenal to buy another 1 or 2 players to strengthen the young squad, i have enough belief that even without Henry, anything is possible. So who says Arsenal is all about Henry?? wrote on 10:45 am.
