" A road less travelled"

The moment i started to get my physique back into good shape, memories of my past starts to haunt me. My journey to the gym yesterday highlights the need to train my left wrist and of course to resume all the gym exercises that i missed out during the school term.

My weight i checked is currently 63.4kg. Thank God i get back the weight i lost during the fasting month. But i want to gain more. U know, trying to see if i can reach my prime weight of 67kg like i did last year?

Initally, the weights that i start to carry is meagre compared to the times when i dont have a metal-plate-inserted-in-my-left-wrist. But i encounter alot of pain at the joints of my wrist and this sets me back. I starts to wonder if i can get back to my original strength. Can i be equally strong again even with a bone screwed with metal plate?

I recall the days when i got injured during my silat competition match. It was a broken bone the moment i fell on the mat. My life took a turning point at that time. I didnt expect to get my wrist bone broken into two but i kept telling myself that "ada hikmah disebalik apa yang terjadi". God wanted to test me. I have always accept all that happened and i kept telling myself that this will make me even closer to Him.

"Petunjuk yang Tuhan berikan itu bermakna Tuhan sayangkanmu", my mom always say.

My life journey CAN be one that is less travelled. I can have a plain life but i choose this path. A path which im willing to take risks and do what benefits me. A life that when i look back, i will have no regrets. My love for sports is not for glory (some would tell me) but what i want is the experience and to see how well i do after i gave my best. To do what i can and do it with what i got.

The times when i was in the hospital, there are people who love to see me fall and there are people who stand by me and lend me their helping hand. i do have people telling me to quit the sport. My mom, aunties, uncles said that too. But my dad didnt. So does a few of my friends. I learn to take things one step at a time and i want to prove those doubters wrong. Not by medals but by my determination.

I COULD have also down-graded my pes status from A to C due to my broken bone but i didnt. If i did, i could have the chance to escape reservist and have a waiting game with Mindef until im 40 yrs old. But I know i can recover in time for my next call up and continue my journey with my battalion all the way till i ROD.

So this long and winding journey i took in my life will bear fruit when the time comes. God knows whats best for his ummah. i pray hard every night, that HE gives me strength, courage, faith and determination for me to pick myself up and continue this life without regrets.

As for now, im training hard. Whether i can make it one day, i leave it up to Him to decide.

EXAMS ARE OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i yearn for this day.. pray that this day will come... really hope that i can reach it.. And now, the most heart wrenching, gruelling and most exhausting phase of a student is O-V-E-R.

Syukur.. syukur..

No MORE exams for me till a year from now coz im doing IA next semester. truthfully saying, i hate taking exams with these chem engine. I believe half of them are aliens and the rest are foreigners. When some of the papers i struggle to do, they did with ease and even leave early. Must be from robot planet lah..

Overall performance from taking 4 exam papers this semester is.......... NOT THAT GOOD. im only confident in say 1 or 2 papers lah. the rest i screwed up BIG time.

Dont wanna talk about it....Insya Allah i can get better results overall and push my caps alittle higher to the safe zone.

So its CELEBRATION TIME! hooray for me and hooray for my brain and hooray for my body which endures my deprivation of sleep so that i can memorise nearly 3/4 of a book for the exam.. So give my body a big THANK YOU by..... Sleeping 12 hrs the moment i came home after the last paper..

Anw, yesterday is a wonderful day.... Woke up at 11 plus in the morning, meet dear in the afternoon, went ikea, Velocity (the new shopping mall which sux) and Tan Tock Seng for my appointment (20 bucks for a 5 minute chat??) and lastly playing 3 hours of soccer at night!

Superb...

First destination yesterday was the new ikea store that opens somewhere near the edge of tampines. Soon everywhere around this building will be a mega shopping mall. Theres Giant Coming up with a Whole Building on its own. Courts will also hold a place right next to Ikea. WOW..

Cam biase i pose with the HUGE logo behind. For fun. Ok i really thought that the NEW IKEA building will house few storeys of home and office furnitures but to my dismay its nearly the same as the old Ikea building. the layout is the same. One floor for showroom and one floor for market hall. No surprises but there are more stuffs to look at though.

"apa tengok2? dah bayar cukai belum?? gi amik aku kopi!"

The day of celebration didnt stop there. So i proceed to the new Velocity. No not VIVOCITY. its the new shopping centre that wanted to be a mall that caters to sports enthusiast. And i was so damn disappointed. Theres so little shops open and i can count like 4 or 5 sports shop like Nike and World of Sports and California Fitness. This velocity lacks the momentum and the distance to really be a sports mall. btw mind u, its just part of novena square mall, tot its a mall on its own. laaa.....

~End of day 1~

AHH.. i might as well update what i have promised about during the exams..

FITNESS regime!!! i have dedicated my december (other than hooray2) to buck up on my poor fitness by first cycling with fadly. (thanx ah fad). we started at 745am and i came home at 145pm. Hmm that looks like 6hrs of pure cycling. Now my butt is in pain.

We cycled to east coast from bedok. Took a left turn once we reach the beach and head 2wds the tanah merah country club. den cycled all the way till we see the airport fences. The most butt-aching, boring route is definitely this one below. try cycling around the circumference of the aeroplance landing and u see y..

Damn exhausting but we still managed to take a picture halfway to the finishing line (the changi village... my focus: MILO DINOSAUR AND NASI LEMAK)

Once at changi, its resting time. Time to replenish our sapped energy and fix up our bike. i changed my tyres to a red n black strips one. Bought lizard skin for chain, pump tyres and changed my brake wires (corrode already).

But when we are cycling back using the route passing Changi Prison and across loyang valley and tampines, it rained heavily.

Yeah the bike at the background is mine. u can see the new tyres changed from black to red/black. Quite expensive lah. Coz i wanted to gear up to cycle longer distance and Maybe a cycling trip to desaru. its a 6hrs cycle from Johor. Yeah anyone interested to follow?

So tired now. need to rest. especially my butt.

What is true love?

What is love all about?

Ever wondered how its like to be loved?

Is there such thing as everlasting love?

And love is meant only for who?

How do u judge your love for someone?
Who deserves more love?
Who dont?

How strong can the power of love be?
So, what is love?

For love only has to be for Allah.

The Almighty and The Most Merciful.

Love His messenger (s.a.w)

Love your religion.

Love Islam.

Love everything else because of Him.

Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:

Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, stated: "I am near to the thought of My servant as he thinks about Me, and I am with him as he remembers Me. And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My Heart, and if he remembers Me in assembly I remember him in assembly, better than his (remembrance), and if he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by a cubit, and if he draws near Me by a cubit I draw near him by the space (covered by) two arms. And if he walks towards Me, I rush towards him." (Hadith in Sahih Muslim)
