ARSENAL triumph in PRE- season!!

first we get the emirates cup!

As an Arsenal fan , this is a sweet victory! 2 pre-season tournament wins and all of them against strong teams with the likes of Ajax, Inter Milan , Lazio and PSG using young players with superb talent. Its interesting how Arsene Wenger chooses to play tougher teams nearer to the start of the EPL season.

"Arsenal scooped their second tournament trophy of the week with a battling 1-0 victory over Ajax on Saturday night.

Arsène Wenger’s side had won the Emirates Cup last Sunday thanks to a late strike from Robin van Persie. It was a case of double Dutch this evening as the striker finished off a marauding run from Gael Clichy three minutes from time to win the Amsterdam Tournament.

The victory was deserved. Ajax keeper Maarten Stekelenburg had been by far the busier keeper, saving point-blank from Kolo Toure and Van Persie during a lively 90 minutes.

Of course, pre-season form will count for nothing when the campaign starts properly at the weekend. However, in the past eight days Arsenal’s young side have strung together wins over PSG, Inter, Lazio and now Ajax."

Now im purely confident on this young(er) Arsenal team which holds thousand promises to its fans that playing fantastic football with the idea of scoring goals are important. If Arsenal can maintain this form and bring it over to English Soil, then i bet they can really fight for the title. Though i expect Arsenal to buy another 1 or 2 players to strengthen the young squad, i have enough belief that even without Henry, anything is possible.

So who says Arsenal is all about Henry??
