NOT a Happy New YEAR 2007
First and foremost, I wished myself and everyone i know a Happy New Year!!
I 'celebrated' the coming of 2007 with the news of my uncle who passed away after magrib on 31 december 2006. My Uncle has been in the hospital for a few months and since his condition is deteriorating, his family has anticipate his death.
I believe it is Allah ways of showing the "blessings in disguise" when without me realising, i was actually reading Surah Yasin during the introduction of the New Year. Yes i didnt see any fireworks at Marina Bay or even watched anything live on TV. But i was with my close relatives, reciting the Quran and doa in front of the 'jenazah' and That itself means so much to me.
With the COMING of a NEW year, it is also the RETURNING of someone close. Return to the Hands of The Creator. Innalillahi Wainna Hir rajirun..
It is also a HUGE coincident when today 1st Jan 2007, my Sis made a kenduri korban for her NEWBORN child. So all my relatives settled from the bathing of the corpse to the moment the body is placed into the cemetery and then we went for my Sis kenduri. A gathering for someone leaving this world in the morning and gathering for the birth of a newborn baby in the afternoon.
" Every Human Being will die.. its a matter of when and whether we are prepared for that"
That aside, since its a new year, its good to put some resolutions or things u want to achieve or get it done. I do have some in mind so here goes.
What i wanna achieve in 2007:
1. Save ALOT of money... (to upgrade my PC, bike etc)
2. Enrol into Umrah / Haji courses
3. Sign up through local mosque on 'How to uruskan Jenazah'
4. Get a driving license
5. Must learn a new language (most probably italian)
6. Change Hp (a last priority on my list)
7. Strengthen my left arm -->wrist --> hand
8. gain weight (a yearly resolution and will stop when i reach 70 over kg)
9. Grow longer beard
10. Improve on my own character (wont reveal here)
11. Not to skip prayers and must read the Quran more often
12. Compile more than a thousand movies, anime, videos
13. last but not least .. IMPROVE on CAP
