After 6 months of not attending any silat training, i dropped by last week to kickstart my fitness and see if i have also lost any techniques and strength in doing the Sabit, frontkicks (Tujang), Sidekicks and sapuan (sweeping) and whatever that comes with it.
I wanted to totally quit Silat after the freak accident 6months ago but i have yet to throw it behind me. Not that im stubborn but im determined to convince myself and people around me that i can recover and be lethal again!!
So i came over to attend the training and gosh, i cant keep up.
When is the last time i jog? run? kick the paddings? Macam nak pengsan!
i cant hold the paddings obviously coz my left hand is still weak. ARGH! not a good sign!
THEN... i heard the NEWS! NUS Silat team is holding a TRiangular Friendly matches with teams from NTU, SMU and NUS. Held next weekend Saturday in NUS multi purpose hall. But then SMU backed out due to stupid reasons. OH yeah heard that they have extra classes on saturday or something. Ckp je lah takut!! WE invited NYP but they turned us down. SO it becomes a BIANGULAR meet now. Dont think i will be sparring coz im not fully fit and i cant spar with only one hand 'functioning' ! haha..
Ohh. and one more info for guys. The number of silat girls in NUS exceeds us more than twice. Not that im so keen about it but the tables have turned now. Girls are more 'INTO' sports.. Wheres the guys laaahhh...... Too much 'finding nemo'??? if u noe what i mean..
BUT the most HIGHLY ANTICIPATED EVENT of the new year 2007 lies in MEN OPEN CLASS! Theres no need for any further introduction but yeah, its...................................

Both are my members2 and both are huge. Its highly confirmed that the match will be in this manner coz our NUS another open class guy (Faizal) is injured so its down to our long-time-tak-datang-who-needs-a-hug brother to do NUS the honour!! Baik ahh!! You wouldnt want to miss the opportunity to watch this.
